‘A bientôt runs on light’ is a (preliminary ?) title for the new album, that jayrope (Berlin) and Anton Maiof of Geisha/My Ambulance is on Fire (Bristol) have started in February, 2007.
The new album features contributions of collaborators from Canada, France, Mexico and New England.

“A bientôt” means something like “see you later” in French. But Rope’s French friends seem to rather refer to a rare animal from Madagascar living in houses the size of a shoebox… and then Rope found out, that a bientôt really runs on light!
Obviously part of the new album is about certain absurdities, bedded in a dark & ostensible mix of distorted downbeats and ambient, so it’ll be a rather funny one…
Mr. Maiof & jayrope don’t work just on their own today and also there’s been a whole group of contributors to Rope. since 1996.
